Majestic Hotel Group firma un acuerdo de colaboración con SINA Fine Italian Hotels

Majestic Hotel Group tiene el honor de anunciar el acuerdo de colaboración que ha firmado con el grupo italiano Sina Hotels, con establecimientos de lujo en Roma, Florencia, Venecia y Milán, entre otras ciudades italianas. Según Malco Par, director general de Majestic Hotel Group, “el acuerdo supone una iniciativa comercial creativa con un partner clave. Además SINA guarda muchas similitudes con Majestic Hotel Group, pues se trata de una empresa familiar que cuida mucho los productos, destinos y calidades que ofrecen sus hoteles”. Los clientes de Majestic Hotel Group se beneficiarán a partir de ahora de unas condiciones especiales en alojamiento y restauración en todos los hoteles que forman Sina Fine Italian Hotels.

IATA sees return of business traffic

According to IATA, the travel industry continues to recover faster than expected, but with sharp regional differences. Europe is recovering at half the speed of Asia with passenger growth of 7.8% compared to the 15.5% growth in Asia-Pacific.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced international scheduled traffic statistics for June which showed continued strong demand growth as the industry recovers from the impact of the global financial crisis. Compared to June 2009, international passenger demand was up 11.9% while international scheduled freight traffic showed a 26.5% improvement.

Google gaining ground in travel search

According to Hitwise data, Google proved to be the greatest source of traffic for the U.S. travel industry with 30.41% of travel searches in July, a 6% gain over last year. With 3%, Bing had the smallest share of travel searches, but the most significant increase with 69%.

Google, on the other hand, proved to be the greatest source of traffic for key U.S. industries. The search giant represented 23.42 percent of automotive searches (a 7-percent gain over last July), 20.22 percent of shopping searches (a 7-percent annual gain) and 30.41 percent of travel searches (a 6-percent gain over last year). Notably, the gains in travel searches may be linked to Google’s proposed acquisition of travel software company ITA, which Brafton covered in July.
