Amex & Marriott's New Credit Card Programs Beginning in August

American Express and Marriott revealed more details about the co-branded card agreement they signed in December. The new co-branded program, which includes a premium card and updated benefits for consumer and business cards, will become available in August. Marriott's unified loyalty programs also will launch in August, all part of the hotel company's path after acquiring Starwood in 2016.

Marriott International Unveils Unified Loyalty Programs With One Set of Benefits

Today, Marriott International announced it will introduce one set of unified benefits across Marriott Rewards, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) for its members in August 2018. This will create an incredibly rich hospitality loyalty program in which members will earn more points faster than under the prior programs — on average 20% more points for every dollar spent.
