DUCO Travel Summit celebrates the inaugural edition of DUCO Spain & Portugal in Marbella, Spain

The inaugural edition of DUCO Spain & Portugal embraces the theme DUCO Explorers. Inspired by the courage and curiosity of those who once looked beyond the horizon, the concept reflects a shared spirit of discovery that continues to shape Spain and Portugal today. Through this theme, the summit invites participants to embark on a journey of connection and understanding, exploring the stories, people, and places that define the art of hospitality across both nations.

DUCO Travel Summit pioneered the concept of a destination-focused event dedicated to high-end hospitality, serving as a groundbreaking initiative to spotlight a single destination in its own setting. Celebrating its first edition as an annual event, this innovative invitation-only event brings together the most refined Spanish and Portuguese hoteliers and travel experiences with an exclusive selection of top travel advisors from international English-speaking markets, as well as DMCs and trusted destination partners. With DUCO, Spain and Portugal are on the calendar of the world’s finest travel events.

Hosting 175 high-end hospitality professionals and upscale experience providers along with 125 of the finest travel advisors, who are the top sellers and leading experts from English-speaking markets, DUCO Spain & Portugal 2025 announces an immersive program. Attendees dive deep into the destinations, starting at enriching twenty-minute daytime appointments and continuing through engaging evening events.

DUCO is proudly sponsored by the Andalucía Tourist Board, Luxury Travel by Costa del Sol Tourist Board and Marbella Tourism.

Antonio Díaz, Managing Director of Luxury Travel by Costa del Sol Tourist Board noted, «Costa del Sol has established itself as a premier tourism destination, and participating in such an enriching event is pivotal to strengthening our position in the luxury segment. We are committed to delivering high-quality services that highlight the beauty and hospitality of our province, alongside innovation, exclusivity, and personalized attention,» stated Díaz.

«The collaborative effort of institutions has brought a significant project to Marbella, one of the most important B2B actions in recent years, which will host over 150 international agents from the Luxury and Premium segment, showcasing the virtues of our province. With such initiatives, Turismo Costa del Sol remains dedicated to promoting the province as a top-tier tourist destination,» Díaz concluded.

Finca Cortesin Hotel will welcome attendees for the Press Program, followed by the Registration & Standing Cocktail at Finca Cortesin Beach Club, an open-air celebration by the sea that captures the essence of Marbella.

The following day, the participants will gather at the gardens of Marbella Club Hotel for the Standing Opening Cocktail.

Anantara Villa Padierna Palace will then host the scheduled appointments throughout the week. In partnership with The Leading Hotels of the World, a dedicated area will welcome exhibiting affiliates, creating a refined environment for meaningful meetings and connections. Among the experiences featured at the venue, Portuguese textile brand Lameirinho will present a mockup of a high-end hotel suite showcasing its premium linens and home textiles.

DUCO Spain & Portugal 2025 Awards Presentation will take place in a unique setting at the Anantara Amphitheatre.

The summit will conclude with a Farewell Lunch at La Plaza, Puente Romano — a vibrant square surrounded by restaurants and terraces, perfectly capturing Marbella’s relaxed Mediterranean rhythm.

DUCO will also host a three-day Press Program for contributors of international, Spanish and Portuguese media from October 12th to 14th, 2025, in Paris. The program begins with a Welcome Press Dinner at Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella, with the presence of the sponsors representatives and welcoming journalists from leading media outlets. The Press Office will be located at Finca Cortesin Hotel, where a Press Program on Monday, October 13th, will facilitate meetings between Exhibitors and media throughout the day. The day will conclude with the Registration & Standing Cocktail at Finca Cortesin Beach Club.
