Four Seasons Hotel Cartagena: Where history meets modern luxury
In a city continually transforming, a collection of storied buildings has been thoughtfully reborn. Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena — located in the vibrant Getsemaní neighbourhood, steps from the UNESCO World Heritage Site Walled City — blends history, modernity and timeless elegance in one of the world’s most fascinating destinations.

«Welcoming a third Four Seasons to Colombia marks an important milestone in the continued expansion of our global portfolio,» says Rainer Stampfer, President, Global Operations. «We are proud to introduce a Four Seasons experience defined by genuine care, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a deep connection to Cartagena’s unique character.»

Art, Architecture and Heritage Following a years-long restoration, the hotel is a modern interpretation of the city’s rich heritage. At the heart of the design vision is the late François Catroux, whose signature suites and reimagining of the former Club Cartagena — a 1920s landmark — stand as one of his final legacies. Additional creative contributors include WATG, Wimberly Interiors, AvroKO and a roster of celebrated local artists and artisans.

Guests can choose from 131 accommodations, including 27 colonial-style rooms and suites, plus a limited collection of Private Residences fully serviced by Four Seasons.

Dining, Wellness and Events Eight restaurant and bar concepts make the hotel a culinary destination in its own right — from The Grand Grill and speakeasy El Aljibe to rooftop bar El Palmar with sweeping Caribbean views. Umari Spa draws on Colombian botanicals and ancestral healing traditions within a restored heritage building, while two rooftop pools and a state-of-the-art fitness centre complete the wellness offering.

For events, the restored Ballroom de la Veracruz accommodates up to 300 guests beneath a vaulted ceiling with a centuries-old fresco, positioning Four Seasons Cartagena as the city’s premier address for luxury meetings, social gatherings and destination weddings.
